Anyone attending an SIR annual meeting knows what to expect: cutting-edge research, plentiful educational and networking opportunities, and exposure to the new devices that will inform tomorrow’s practice of IR—all in a dynamic, highly energetic setting.
The Annual Meeting Committee has designed a meeting that addresses all your most pressing needs as an interventional radiologist in today’s health care climate:
- Timely research topics and scientific presentations
- Valuable hands-on experience via the workshops
- Perennially popular sessions and events
- Categorical courses/SAMs
- Much more!
The quality and quantity of this year’s submissions have combined to open the door to new approaches to the scientific program, including the creation of an entire new category of presentation. This category will feature specific moderated times in the poster hall, where poster authors will discuss their work.
This year’s plenaries and special courses will include perennially popular selections like Extreme IR, RPVI, the Stroke Course and the IR Domain, and feature new offerings like “We Are IR.”
Furthermore, we’ve worked to include more sessions suggested by IRs like you than ever before—13 sessions contributed by colleagues from around the world: Germany, the United Kingdom, India, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Australia and New Zealand. We’ll be introducing a new session, “How Do You Do It in Your Country?”, that will cover topics such as PAE, percutaneous AVF creation and illuminate the reach and innovation of the global IR community.
We’ve also expanded learning opportunities at this year’s meeting. With over 40 different categorical courses and more than 20 SAMs, we’re providing more ways to stay up to date on the newest scientific breakthroughs. Courses will touch on global advancements as well as innovations in IR.
In the Expo, explore the latest technologies and services while gaining insight into developments that will impact practice models and patient care of the future. The Expo offers unparalleled opportunities to network and expand your knowledge of the IR marketplace.
We’re excited to bring these changes to you for the 2020 meeting and look forward to connecting with you!
