Illuminate the night at the SIR Foundation Gala on Sunday, March 24, located in the Regency Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency in Salt Lake City. Begin the evening by chatting with colleagues over cocktails from 6:30–8 p.m. MT, followed by dinner from 8–11:59 p.m. MT. Join the celebration with fellow IR professionals to shine a light on the progress and possibilities of interventional radiology research.
The Gala is one of the most important fundraising events for the foundation. By attending, members support efforts to fund important and novel studies that push the boundaries of the field and lift IR to new heights. The funds generated from the Gala play a vital role in supporting IR research, such as grants, clinical registries and various programs dedicated to fostering research education and outreach.
At last year’s Gala, SIR Foundation announced a major gift that funded two initiatives for uterine artery embolization and fibroid and adenomyosis research. In 2022, the Gala raised over $540,000 to fund new and ongoing research, clinical trials and education opportunities.
“Together, we can advance the incredible potential of IR and work towards a better tomorrow,” said SIR Foundation Chair Maureen P. Kohi, MD, FSIR.
This evening also celebrates the SIR Foundation award recipients for the Philanthropy and Leader in Innovation awards. According to Dr. Kohi, it will also be a great time to network with other IRs and industry partners.
“I hope the night allows for an opportunity for everyone to relax, meet new friends and catch up with old ones,” said Dr. Kohi. “I’m also looking forward to connecting with the SIR Foundation staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make this amazing night into a beautiful reality.”
Don’t miss an evening to remember. Registration ends Sunday, March 17. For any questions, please contact SIR Foundation Director of Development Terrianne Zeifman at tzeifman@sirweb.org.
