Thank you to everyone who supported the 2022 SIR Foundation Gala. After two long years, it was wonderful to get together in person. We filled the ballroom at the Seaport Hotel, maxing out the capacity with 476 guests. It was a joyous time for being together.
During the evening, we were proud to honor John Thomas (JT), MD, FSIR, as the 2022 Frederick S. Keller, MD, Philanthropy Award winner. Unfortunately, Dr. Thomas had a family emergency and had to travel back to Texas, but Sahira Kazanjain, MD, FSIR, accepted the award on his behalf. Sanjay Misra, MD, FSIR, joined the stage to discuss the exciting new SIR Foundation Clinical Trials Network. Lastly, Neil M. Khilnani, MD, FSIR, continued his advocacy for IR treatment of venous disorders and showed a moving patient testimonial highlighting women’s health issues.
We greatly appreciate the generous financial support and the opportunity to highlight some of the many projects that the Foundation is doing to support your practice and patient access to IR care. Throughout the evening, we raised $540,000!
