SIR Foundation is pleased to announce that it has expanded eligibility for its top award, the Leaders in Innovation Award, which recognizes and promotes innovation within interventional radiology. The SIR Foundation Board of Directors approved the expanded eligibility criteria on Aug. 13. You can view the Leader in Innovation Award criteria on the SIR Foundation website.
In response to the inclusion of new areas of eligibility, SIR Foundation has extended the nomination deadline for the 2024 award. If you know an SIR member who has conceptualized and implemented an idea that has had an advantageous impact on the practice of interventional radiology, please nominate them by Sept. 29. The innovation can be a device, technique, approach, clinical practice model or anything having a significant improvement upon the quality of patient care or economics of interventional practice.
To be considered for this award, a nomination is required by a colleague. Self-nominations are not acceptable. Nominations already submitted by a colleague for the 2024 award do not need to be resubmitted. All applications received in the last 3 years will be considered for the 2024 award. If you have questions about the Leaders in Innovation Award, please email grants@sirweb.org for assistance.
